Basic Lua (ancient Hawaiian martial art) fighting position?
I know Lua is basically the art of breaking bones and dislocated joints. Recently I have become very interested in my Hawaiian heritage. Lua is very difficult to learn much about the line, so I thought I just try asking. Does anyone Lua knows the basic stance Fight? I had heard it was knees bent low to the ground (such as a low horse stance). correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm willing to bet that you're probably right. I know nothing about martial arts, but if you see traditional Hawaiian dances and other South Pacific, which is the general position is taken by male dancers. They have their shoulder width feet or slightly more inclined apart, knees, elbows hugged the sides with forearms to the front. Have you ever seen the Maori war dance? It's awesome!
