to all instructors or anyone who might know this if u want to?
if u want to start a dojo what do u need like how do u become a qualified instructor in martial arts or self defence do u have to have a certain rank and what if u creat ur own style what are the rules like bruce lee only had 4 years experience in wing chun and his first time teaching pro only 7 yrs worth of ,artial arts including his amazing learning speed?
Anyone, including someone with no experience at all, can open a martial arts school. He may have a hard time getting insurance but there is no one who can stop him legally.
Now, if he's dealing with a style that has a governing body like TKD or Shotokan have, he will have to deal with that body and meet their requirements.
At my school, with enough teaching time and talent, you can become an assistant instructor at brown belt. To be an instructor you need to be at least a black belt and 18 in addition to having the training experience and talent. None of it is automatic, only the senior instructor (who happens to be our soke) can grant these titles.
To create you own style, again, requires no training at all. However to have it recognized by a legit group like the Society of Soke takes a lot of effort and documentation. My sensei got his when he was a 5th or 6th dan.
