Martial Art Sweeps
What is the point at MMA / etc .. if all it takes to finish someone is a blow to the throat or a sprained neck?
Martial Arts are primarily for self-defense. What is the point of all these kicks / punches / scans / etc .. as if facing a life or death situation everything you need to finish the other person is a strong punch to the throat or just getting behind me and twisting the neck? Note, I said life and death. regtrack: for a MMA guy whos been training all his life does not have to fight a military type that is taught to "destroy (kill)" for the fight against the type of MMA is for the ring?
The point of MMA is the sport! Not to kill another person. If you need the martial arts for self defense, then go to those styles. The only SD Krav Maga is running anyway. But even if MMA / BJJ is a sport, is still a good SD. Of course, we do not learn to gouge eyes or attacking the groin pull hair or using small join manipulation, but that does not mean that we will do in a street fight. We also consider easy tricks and we could use situations in life or dead. Please respect MMA, BJJ and all styles of another sport. We know how to fight and that knowledge can be put in a better place where we could, whether the use of these nessecary illegal "sport" techniques taught in Krav Maga escuelas. Why should they fight in the first place? Even if they did and the army killed the boy murderer MMA with some technique, is the soldier who will spend time behind bars for him, and none of'em use of weapons. Handguns any restrictions. If your opponent has a gun, you are free to fight for their lives every anyway you can.
